The Latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking has been released today, with Ivory Coast still retaining the No.1 spot for the CAF (Confederation of African Football).
Biggest Gainers - Egypt gained 10 pts and moved one spot up (Now No.4) pushing down Cape Verde. South Africa also made an improvement with +8 pts, moving from No.13 to No. 10 spot in the CAF zone Ranking.
Biggest Losers - The biggest disappointment was captured by Gabon (-8 pts) followed by Gambia (-7 pts).
Ranking vs. Word Cup - The current ranking displays fairness as it almost agree with the World cup qualification list for Brazil 2014. Although, Nigeria and Cameroon (who made it to the World Cup) have posted low numbers in the CAF ranking.
Perspective - Spain has held up on their No.1 position for the World Ranking, followed by Germany, then Argentina. The top 25 position on the World ranking has not changed this month. The USA remains to No. 14, and Brazil - The World Cup 2014 host country - remains on the No. 10 spot.
