The Inter Milan team has won the Club World Cup Championship by beating the African team TP Mazembe 3-0, sending the trophy once again to the Europeans. The African champions TP Mazembe let two quick goals on the first half from the European champions Inter Milan in a Club World Cup final layered with extra meaning in Abu Dhabi.Victory for Mazembe could have made them the first non-European or South American team to claim this crown, but today was not the day. Inter coach Rafael Benitez, whose team was without the injured Wesley Sneijder, played a great tactical game, by scoring early and then defending the lead against a desperate TP Mazembe team. Samuel Eto'o set up Goran Pandev's opener, before adding the second goal himself, with Joseph Biabiany's late third goal wrapping up the win.
But nothing to be ashamed of from "Les corbeaux" of Congo; they put up a fight and almost dominated the entire second half . They took on their shoulders the hope of an entire continent. They demonstrated the power of African Soccer, which is now getting more competitive and better.
Inter Milan secured their first piece of silverware under Rafael Benitez with a comfortable victory over TP Mazembe to win the Club World Cup.
