The Miss Africa USA Pageant is a cultural showcase of the African heritage in the United States of America. The Pageant is a charity event, providing a platform for young African women in America to showcase talent, leadership, culture and a unique opportunity to speak up for Africa, raising awareness on pertinent issues concerning the continent and how Americans and friends of Africa can help make a difference in Africa. Proceeds from this event helps to fund identified projects dealing with needs in healthcare, education and the protection of women and children’s rights.

On Friday, 11th January 2019, at Holiday Inn Hotel (Accra), the organizers of the AGAFEST announced the nominees for its maiden edition. The festival, which has four participants Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, will take place on 8th March of this year at the Fantasy Dome Trade Fair in Accra, Ghana.
History was made for Cameroon on Saturday Nov 11 2017 at Bowie State University, Maryland USA when hundreds of guests witnessed the Miss Africa USA Contest which culminated to the Crowning of Corinne Missi as the Queen.
