The 8th installment of this annual cultural event will take place at the Ferst Center for the Arts.

ATLANTA -- 2015 marks the 8th installment of the Miss Nigeria in America Pageant, a cultural event that has been growing in scope and popularity since its launch in 2005. The pageant identifies Nigerian women in the US who exemplify beauty, talent, supremacy and intelligence. It aims to create new role models who through the beauty pageant will serve as ambassadors that will define a new Nigeria, enrich the beauty of the Nigerian Woman, and enhance a new strength, energy and spirit for the advancement of women while positively impacting their communities.

The event, which will be held at the Ferst Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, will include a pre-show, red carpet presentation, and crowning ceremony in addition to the pageant proper. Special guest judges for the 2015 event include Dr. Leslie Oluchi Nwoke, Co-Founder Ruby Project, Sandra Petgrave- Founder Handbook to Abundance Inc and Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 1992, Nina Ijere-Otuka, Founder Nina International LLC, Florence Fasan Author - The AHA Moment, and Michael Wogu, CEO Mbarqgo.

The ceremony will be presented by host Dami “AphricaApe” Olatunde, Instagram sensation and a young comedian who has already reached remarkable milestones in his career, including opening for Hollywood's Michael Blackson.

This year will not only introduce many new and talented women into the competition; the 2015 pageant will also see several new sponsors, including premier media sponsors Life & Times Magazine and US Africa Magazine the voice of America's diverse immigrant community.

MNIA 2015-Womens-Award About Miss Nigeria in America, Inc.

MNIA, Inc. was founded by current CEO ChiChi Emeson. One of the many programs of the organization, the Miss Nigeria in American Pageant, seeks to educate women on Nigeria and teach them how to advocate for justice, be role models for young women and take a stand in society to ensure the betterment for women. Emeson is personally committed to empowering women, to help them battle self-esteem issues, realize their potentials and take charge of their lives. 

About the Ferst Center for Art

The Ferst Center for the Arts, located on the campus of Georgia Tech, is a beautiful 1,159-seat state-of-the-art theatre.
