AFCON 2022: 24 Teams to Compete for the Prestigious Title of “African Cup Champion”
Over the next month, a total of 24 African teams will take the stage in pursuit of being crowned Champions of Africa.
Cameroon Wins the African Cup of Nations!
“Les Lions Indomptables” of Cameroon has won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nation in Gabon (AFCON 2017) by defeating Egypt 2 – 1. The 31st edition of the CAN 2017 final took place at the Stade de l’amitié with an estimated crowd of 38,000. Cameroon is now a five time winner of this great African event.

Samuel Eto’o named 2010 African Player of the Year
It was with no doubt when the result was announced: Samuel Eto’o has been named African Footballer of the Year, making it a record four time at the annual CA awards ceremony held in Cairo last Monday. The Cameroonian scored a clinical, close-range second goal in a 3-0 triumph over TP Mazembe from Democratic Republic of Congo, the first African club to reach the final of the 10-year competition.
