Midwest Fashion Week is releasing details today regarding their upcoming production in New York taking place during the Fall 2016 season. While Midwest Fashion Week Director and Catou Fashion Designer, Berny Martin, has participated as a guest designer for New York Fashion Week for the last seven years, this will be the Indianapolis-based production company’s first title event in the Big Apple to date. Earlier this year Midwest Fashion Week announced its intentions to expand its schedule from its roots in Indianapolis and Chicago to include Paris and New York.
“The purpose of our expansion is to highlight and introduce designers and the creative effort of the fashion community to the world of New York Fashion Week. Although ‘Midwest’ is in our name, our goal is to bring Midwest fashion to the world. For over a decade, we have taken great pride in showcasing the talents of more than 300 designers from several different countries and are excited by our continued growth,” stated Martin.
The Beauty for Freedom Fashion Show will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Studio 450 (450 West 31st Street New York, NY 10001), beginning at 6:00pm with a networking mixer and fashion presentation to follow. For this charitable event, Midwest Fashion Week has partnered with the nonprofit organization Beauty for Freedom to help raise funds and awareness for the battle against worldwide human trafficking efforts. The event will be hosted by Monica Watkins, successful Ford model, philanthropist and Beauty for Freedom Founder, President and Executive Director.
Event organizers are currently seeking designers to present their collections during the fashion showcase, as well as sponsors to assist with the planning and production. Sponsors will receive a multitude of benefits in lieu of being included in all media, marketing and promotional efforts geared toward a targeted audience of thousands throughout the region. Prospective designers are asked to complete this designer inquiry form, and organizations interested in sponsoring the event should contact Info@MidwestFashionWeek.com for more information on available opportunities.
Tickets to this premiere event can be purchased at the door for a standard admission price of $20. For more information on this event or for media inquiries, please contact Info@MidwestfFashionWeek.com.
