Olamide releases first single for 2019 – “Woske”

Nigerian hip hop recording artist Olamide Adedeji (popularly known as Olamide) has just released his first single for 2019 titled "Woske."

The single was first announced by the artist via his verified Twitter account with the hashtag #woske! in the tweet. The artist has been in the Nigerian hip hop stream since 2011 and has managed to capture a slice of the Nigerian music empire, being nominated multiple times for events such as The Headies in 2018, Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEAs) in 2016. his best year so far was 2015 where he was able to win multiple nominations and awards for the TooXclusive Awards, The Headies, and City People Entertainment Awards.

The newly dropped single Woske has a lot of similarities with many of the late American Pop artist and singer Michael Jackson (aka "King of Pop") albums, showing where the Nigerian artist drew his inspirations. It's a mixture of "Smooth Criminal" settings with some "Billie Jean" animation-style, except lacking the signature dance moves of the King of Pop himself. Nevertheless, the single has been buzzing and trending over the internet where excited fans will probably bring the released video to the No.1 spot for African Hip hop music for the month.

We will be keeping an eye on this artist who is showing potential to be added in our AM Stars family (ADUNAGOW magazine track of top African artists and celebrities). Enjoy the video clip below and let us know what you think of it under the comments section.
