It certainly was not an easy task for the Judges either. From Left to Right, Judges: Mr Eric Chinje veteran Cameroonian Journalist and International Consultant, Mr. Ivo Tasong, President of ActivaSoft and Former Chairman of All Cameroon Cultural Development Foundation and Brain Behind the Annual Pan-African Festival in Maryland, Princess Mimi Siewe, Celebrity Stylist and Database Analyst, Mrs Hawa Barry Diallo, Founder of the Miss Guinea North America Pageant and Mr. Kyle Haggerty Pageant Guru and Author of the Book 'WE PRODUCE WINNERS'. The Judges were excellent.
VIPs at the event included Dr. Dorine Fobi-Takusi and her Husband Mr. Emmanuel Takusi, film Producer, Honorable Michael Nkeng the Mayor of Moyuka, Cameroon, Don Julio Barthson, Dr and Dr Mrs Makia. Cameroonian Royals also graced the event including representatives from Ekpe USA: Sessekou Joseph Mbu and delegation as well as representatives from the North West Fons Council. Community leaders were there to show their support; the ACCDF, Cameroon Professional Society, Afrique Hope Committee.
Outgoing Queen Larissa Ngangoum who crowned her predecessor will be moving on to compete in the Miss World Cameroon contest this summer in Cameroon, winning that competition will give her the opportunity to represent Cameroon in the Miss World Competition. She is excited to move on to the next level after a brilliant year which involved working on a Human Rights Program in collaboration with Youth for Human Rights for Cameroon. She has also supported various charitable efforts in the community. Last year she represented Cameroon at the Miss Africa USA Pageant. Larissa is a brilliant young lady, a full time Pharmacy student in Maryland. She will be graduating from Pharmacy school soon and plans to one day open her own Pharmacy in Cameroon.
We thank all Chair persons Dr. Aretha Makai, Dr. Dorine Fobi-Takusi and Don Julio Barthson for Chairing this event. Thanks to the Judges and all sponsors of Miss Cameroon USA Pageant without whose support this movement to empower young women will only remain a dream.
