Ghanaian goalkeeper Stephen Adams saved two penalty kicks from Mohamed Elgadi and Abdelsalam Omar to tie the first five kicks at 3-3 and send both teams to sudden death penalties. Libya took the first sudden death shot and made it (Ahmed El Trbi). Unfortunately, Ghana came short when Joshua Tijani missed his penalty kick.

CHAN 2014 FinalIt took a couple of minutes of uncertainty wins prior to Libya celebrating their victory, to what it seemed like the referee wanted Ghana to re-take the last shot. But after the clash of both teams swirling around the ref like bees ready to start a riot, the game finally ended with Libya celebration.

Ghana did qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil where it will play its first stage on Group G against United States, Germany, and Portugal.
