Hope4HIV Gala - 04.24.10

UNIHIV is a consortium of Nigerian entrepreneurs in the fashion and entertainment industry, that promote HIV/AIDS awareness. Our mission and motto is to “Spread the Awareness, Save a Life.” This April 24,  2010, we will be having our HOPE4HIV Gala in LA.
The organization was inspired because of our passion to give back to the community, and to support in fostering the awareness of the HIV/AIDS virus that kills millions of people every year. Currently, there is no cure for AIDS, but we believe that through wide-spread promotion of this deadly virus, we will save lives, and one day find a cure for the disease.
UNIHIV is aligned with groups and organizations across the United States and internationally that share the common goal of raising funds for HIV/AIDS treatment, research, and supporting awareness in our communities. One way that UNIHIV accomplishes this objective is by hosting events that expose individuals to the messages of HIV/AIDS Experience and Awareness. Each year, we plan and host charity events to promote the awareness of the HIV/AIDS virus.
The event line-up generally includes a fashion show, special guests whose lives have been affected by the virus, who are involved in the research and treatment of HIV/AIDS, and those who closely work with HIV/AIDS patients, a short tribute film, and receives media and press coverage. A portion of the proceeds raised goes towards a specified charity organization.
